What you’ll need for this role

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • 3 years’ Post Qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA
  • 3 years accounting experience in a busy practice
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience training and managing junior trainees.

Main duties

  • Providing support for your Team Manager and Assistant Manager as and when required
  • Responsibility for all aspects of services delivery for your clients including ancillary services such as bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, Company Secretarial
  • First review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies including tax returns
  • Managing your workload to ensure client expectations are exceeded including meeting key client filing deadlines (Revenue and CRO)
  • Communicating effectively with clients, ensuring their questions are answered in a timely and professional manner
  • Reviewing of work completed by junior staff members and feedback on areas for improvement as applicable
  • Development of junior staff to ensure training goals are met in a timely manner
  • Other ad hoc tasks as requested by clients, such as loan applications, grant applications and business plans
  • Planning work deadlines and request of records to ensure a smooth accounts preparation process
  • Providing support and managing relationships for a varied and diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring clients’ expectations are exceeded
  • Working with your team to set and monitor individual goals in line with company goals and objectives including Key KPI’s incl Revenue / GP
