Best Small Practice of the Year 2017

The Irish Accountancy Awards

Accountant Online has won the Best Small Practice Award at last night’s Irish Accountancy Awards gala ceremony in The Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin.

Speaking after the event, founder and director Larissa Feeney said they “are thrilled to receive the award for Best Small Practice 2017. Winning an award like this makes me very proud of our small but growing team.”

“It also makes me feel very grateful to our growing client base, who are mostly small businesses like us, enjoying the great benefits of web technology to drive our business. Our clients are comfortable establishing virtual relationships, and conducting their business via cloud technologies, and don’t always feel the need to meet in person.”

About Accountant Online

Accountant Online is Ireland’s first Online Accountancy and Bookkeeping website service. Larissa says their main aim is to save clients time and money, by using online accounts services. “Using online packages and services like ours also delivers greater transparency in terms of accounting fees and charges for clients – so there are no nasty surprises in their annual bill! It also means clients can access their records from their mobile devices while they are on the go.”

Accountant Online’s base is in Dublin and Donegal. From there, they serve clients across the island, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, South America and beyond. They previously won the Best Innovation Award in the Letterkenny Business Awards and were shortlisted for two Irish Accountancy Awards last year.irish accountancy awards

Larissa qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005. She spent three years working in the industry before setting up her own practice in 2010. Over time she has gone on to develop her business online and launched the Accountant Online website in 2015. She was selected for the Going for Growth national development programme for women in 2015, and has featured in local and national media features, including The Irish Times, The Irish Examiner, and Business and Finance.

Launched in 2015, the Irish Accountancy Awards has established itself as the premier event in Ireland for benchmarking excellence in the accountancy profession in Ireland.
